EAST - WEST Line Down

25th September 2024

SMRT East West Line down.  Apparently, it is caused by a MRT train's wheel which caused the track to be damaged in several place over a 1.6km. 

Today, 30th September 2024 Monday, line is still down.

Sultana Scones

Tried this recipe at Yong's Place.

1 and 3 quarter cup of plain flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking power
7 teaspoon of butter

Raisins as wished, put fewer rather than more

1 egg
until texture is dough-feel

pre-heat at 250 deg

use a cutter, and put the cut-out dough onto baking paper

lower to 160 deg for 15 mins

check from time to time

Cinnamon Tea - Ice or Hot

Drank Cinnamon tea in Korea at a restuarant that Jenny brought me and it was very nice and refreshing.

Here's my own version.

Ingredients:

1. Cinnamon sticks

2. Rock sugar

3. English Tea (in bags)

Method:

- boil a pot of water

- I like my tea weak, so I usually dip the tea bags for 5 to 10 seconds or so only

- stir if tea is not well mixed

- drop in a few sticks of cinnamon (according to your own taste)

- turn off the fire

- put in rock sugar and stir till it dissolves

- set aside to cool

You can serve it chill or hot/warm. I had mine chilled and it was fantabulous.
